failmalloc software package provides Memory allocation failure crash-test tool, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install failmalloc
failmalloc is installed in your system.
Make ensure the failmalloc package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep failmalloc *
You will get with failmalloc package name, version, architecture and description in a table
